I got a new cell phone for Christmas!

You got that new phone, downloaded a few cool apps, argued with Siri and ordered a spiffy case.  But what to do with your old phone?

If you live in the Atlanta area, you can drop your cell phone at the shelter during our regular hours and we’ll take care of everything for you.  If you are out-of-town, then print out a postage paid shipping label and packing slip.  Be sure to designate Good Mews as your charity and we will receive  a donation for each and every phone regardless of age or condition.

Many phones are donated to shelters for abused adults and children so they may have 911 (emergency only) communication or are provided to medical patients who are awaiting organ transplants. Also, some of the phones are refurbished and redeployed in areas of the world where there are no land (wire) lines, or, where the cost of a new phone is prohibitive. Phones that cannot be refurbished or donated will be recycled and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

Lookie there – that phone can do doubly good.  So what’s stopping you?

As always, if you have any questions just leave them in the comment section.

I have a whole box of them that haven’t been able to figure out what to do with! Now I know. I’ll be by soon with them.

Cindy, that’s wonderful. Rest assured they will be properly recycled and the kitties will greatly benefit.
